The typical North Sea representative
The Konsul model has been designed using a shape
that is primarily found at the North Sea. Its
angular hood and straight armrests are the most
obvious distinctions in comparison with the Baltic
model. Almost unlimited variations and combinations
contribute to the fact that the Konsul model has
become a favorite among those who discovered the
style on the Island of Sylt and other German coastal
resorts at the rough North Sea.
To meet the discriminating high-quality standards
of the Konsul SunCastleTM Lounge Chair, Carpenters
work together in close collaboration with Weavers
and Upholsterers. The support frame of the Konsul
is made in accordance with traditional workmanship,
using only well seasoned Nordic timber. In addition
to the tongue and groove connections, all timber
components are joined with waterproof glue before
the entire structure is submerged several times
in an eco-friendly wood preservative. The wickerwork
is completely handmade by experienced basket makers,
and the hood completed in a single piece.
The standard model includes:
· Heavy duty canvas fabrics
· Extra long footrests with durable decorative
molding
· Upholstered armrests
· Two folding transport handles
· Two hood handles
· Braided strip to embellish the fold-up
awning
· Collapsible side table.
An especially handy feature of the Konsul model
is the smooth operation of the hood adjustment
fitting which runs in two profile slides and is
lockable in the positions provided by the traditional
pin and hole adjustment system. The upholstery
on the seat as well as the back or footrests can
be replaced whenever required. Should you wish
to customize your personal lounge chair, simply
choose from the large variety of special equipment
features available to you. Details are included
in the price list.
Konsul is available as a semi or full recliner,
with either Plastic, Natural Cane or Osier Wickerwork.
It is the only model featuring Plastic Wickerwork
in a Seagrass appearance.
